tonite abstract science is happy to welcome a badmanpress/betamorph recordings showcase featuring the canadian—via san fran—badman DZ. one of the few north american artists regularly invited to play in london's insular dubstep scene, and one of the few to have his tunes dropped by said old boy djs, DZ is a solid bet for a neck breaking crate of dubs. his remix of major lazer's puts the original to shame.

abstract science is happy to present two retrospectives for two events this friday. in anticipation of the ghostly records 10 year anniversary celebration at the empty bottle, featuring TYCHO, SOLVENT, KILL MEMORY CRASH, DARK PARTY and dj MIKE SERVITO, we will be playing a slew of our favorite ghostly/spectral tracks. and as a preview of widman's friday night dj set with the jungle percussion wizard KJ SAWKA, expect a slew of old school jungle tunes. booyaka shot!

tonite we are proud to present a mix from the "godfather of techno" JUAN ATKINS aka MODEL 500. recorded live in paris at club djoon, in may of this year, it represents the classic detroit sound—when techno, house, italian disco and electro lived closely in the same crate—and comes with this exciting news from ATKIN'S management:
"After a five year silence, Juan Atkins is back with brand new material from his epoch defining MODEL 500 project. Now including collaborators Mike Banks, Mark Taylor and DJ Skurge, the band have been touring an acclaimed live show that speaks to both the pounding strength of techno and the soulful heyday of the Motown Revue. A sneak preview of the new material is available via an exclusive download from Clash magazine, with an EP due imminently and full album to follow later this year. The band will be supporting the new material with a tour this Autumn/Winter."
